MEL’S BIO:

As an applied psychologist, former NBC reporter and development consultant, I’ve worked with leadership and on-camera experts worldwide from Forbes, Sinclair Broadcasting, Stanford, HeartMath, multiple DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) firms, Seth Godin, Chopra Center, Saban Music Group (Intercultural Music Label), Listeners On Call (Digital Wellness App), Peak Financial Group and SIG, a global financing company for infrastructure projects in Africa and Latin America.

I help talent align messaging with values and inclusive communication, as well as embody confidence and well-being— the only sustainable ways to build trust, authority and genuine connection.

I occasionally serve as an adjunct professor and curricula developer of university courses in Global Communication, Intercultural Communication, Media Impact on Society and Social Media Theory. I’ve been a requested guest lecturer at universities and business schools, speaking on management of algorithmic literacy and diversity in the workplace, decision-making science and digital well-being.

My PhD research focus: algorithmic implications on identity and worldview.

My media expertise is robust and relevant— from a seasoned live TV News reporter to original content creator and producer, her portfolio includes working with nearly a dozen of the world’s top media networks and brands including NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, NIKE, the Associated Press, INHD Hi-Definition Network, AOL TV, History Channel, Pay Per View, Island Def Jam Records and National Geographic. She is also a mindfulness facilitator and certified Hatha yoga teacher.

Top 3 Evidence-Based Values in Action (VIA Institute): Honesty, Creativity, Fairness. I’m a transdisciplinary thinker who has designed her life to include intentional intervals of ‘off-the-grid’ time in open spaces.

This contrast and seamless movement between society’s two most influential forces- the digital environment and the natural world- allows me unique perspective to be present to all I do. It also enables me to analyze, synthesize and highlight our intrinsic interdependence. More than anything— that is my truest mission.
